OrkneyThe most Northerly of whiskies
are Orcadian. The Orkneys are a group of islands that were ruled by Norway and
Denmark for 500 years. As a late comer to the Gaelic culture, the Orkneys passed
to Scotland in 1468, the two Orkney distilleries produce a subtle and less sweet
character all their own!

One of the best known single malts, it clearly belongs to the Northern Highlands.
Glenmorangie is a subtle, teasing whisky, with a unique character.

Dalmore is a splendid single malt that deserves to be more widely known! A rich,
smooth, flavorful whisky, with its suggestion of sweetness restrained, it is a
delicious after-dinner drink.
