Island of IslayThe most popular
of all Scotch Whiskies come from this region. Islay is a Scottish island off the
Southwest coast. The island is about 25 miles long, yet it has eight distilleries
located on the island. The Mountain View Hotel & Conference Center is proud
to offer some of this island's finest Single Malts.

The best known of the Islay single malts. In addition to its renowned seaweed
tasting character, it has a fullness and oiliness of body that is prized by Scotch
whiskey devotees.

With its intense dryness and very firm body, Lagavulin is a noble single malt
that challenges its immediate neighbor for the title of regional classic. This
single malt is claimed by some to have the most character of all the Islay malts.

Bowmore is known for its achievement of a confident balance between the intensity
of the South shore and the reticence of the North. It is a rare but delightfully
complexity of character. This is an outstanding after-dinner single malt whiskey.

A nutty, flowery single malt that has a character all of its own. Delicious as
an aperitif or digestif.
