The Palace Theatre has been a major force in Westmoreland County's cultural scene since 1926. Opened originally as the Manos Theatre, today the theatre hosts the widest variety of live entertainment in the area in a beautifully renovated 1320-seat facility. The Palace Theatre is home to the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra and a regional venue for River City Brass Band. Productions are mounted on a regular basis by local arts groups including Laurel Ballet, Stage Right, Greensburg Civic Theatre, Westmoreland Choral Society, and Greensburg Central Catholic High School.

The Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra celebrates its 39th season of presenting classical music concerts throughout the Westmoreland region in 2007-08. Pennsylvania's oldest professional stock theater is also one of only eleven professional summer stock theaters remaining in the United States today. The Mountain Playhouse brings Broadway quality entertainment to the area through a theater housed in a restored 1805 gristmill. Today, the 393 seat theater is climate-controlled for your comfort and includes a snack bar overlooking a lake and the Jenner Art Gallery (located in the theater lobby) featuring the works of area artists.

The Casino Theatre was built in 1900 in the Greek Revival Style. The theatre's most distinctive and historic feature is its temple front with four Greek Ionic columns. From its founding until 1927, the Casino hosted live entertainment and was a popular stop along the "Vaudeville Circuit". Among its historic visitors during the past century are President William H. Taft, world boxing champion Bob Fitsimmons, composer Hoagy Carmichael, the Lone Ranger, Tex Ritter and the Three Stooges.
